WHY HAVE ONLINE COUNSELLING

Using online and telephone therapy including Zoom, Skype and WhatsApp.

ARE THERE THINGS I SHOULD THINK ABOUT WHEN USING ONLINE COUNSELLING?

Choosing a time and place in your home to minimise interruptions and make sure you have a good WIFI signal so that you are relaxed and ensure your sessions are private.

what is your cancellation policy?

You need to cancel your session at least 48 hours in advance.

HOW LONG does COUNSELLING the process LAST?

Each session lasts 50 minutes. Every client has very individual needs and circumstances. I provide short term and long-term therapy sessions. This is something that we can discuss in your first session.

Do you offer long time COUNSELLING and if so what does it entail?

Long term counselling is an open-ended process, we do not plan an ending and we can meet once or twice a week. Sessions may need to be explored at a deeper level; therefore, consideration and time is taken to help you to feel fully supported through the process. I will help you to reach a natural ending in our process together. Sometimes the focus may be on goals that have been discussed in the beginning and have been the focus and eventually have been met.

We can explore whichever process works best for you and you are under no obligation to continue counselling and can end at any time.

Do you offer shorter term counselling?

Yes. If you want to address a specific issue and want to avoid going into longer term therapy, the process towards an ending can be discussed, agreed and planned. We can make a contract for 12 weekly sessions and review our progress then and see if you would like to continue or end the process. This makes the work more focused on specific issues and you can build coping mechanisms that will help you in leading your life.
